Easter means egg hunts galore!

Our girls LOVE to hunt Easter eggs.  In fact, they would hunt them year round if possible.  Last year when packing up the house, we found eggs in the oddest of places.  Now Evie has taken up the love of hiding the eggs, and giggling with glee when finding them- in the house.  Outside the house, well she hasn't quite figured it out completely yet.

At Emery's school Easter egg hunt we had to tell her to stop picking them up, but show her friends where they were since she had enough :)  Then we went to the annual Easter egg hunt held by the city at our favorite park.  It was PACKED, but they had it broken down by age group.  We bumped Emery up to Ella's age group ( a decision I think we regret now, but oh well), and Tad took the older girls.  I took Evie and headed to the 2 and under section held on the baseball field.  There were some ahem 'visitors' in that section that we had to shoo out of the way for fear of trampling.  Not exactly what you see everyday- but oh well!

Evie did well, she found 10 eggs, Ella and Emery weren't quite as successful, they got a big fat 0!  They were a little to dainty in finding the eggs up against 8 yr old boys!  Fortunately one dad noticed that we didn't have any and right before Emery had a meltdown, his son gave Emery 3- whew they saved the day.  We then took the eggs to the candy line, returned the eggs in exchange for a bag of candy.  And boy was that generous!  It had about 3 full size candy bars, cookies, popcorn, and some other goodies.  Pretty good candy bag!

The park was filled with activities, bounce houses, etc.  And it was the perfect day for a picnic at the park and just playing outside, but unfortunately Tad had an appt so we had to leave.  But never fear, for when he got home we played outside for hours, playing baseball.  The girls were learning to hit the ball when pitched to them, and they got pretty good throughout the afternoon.  We have some videos coming on that later!

Then of course Easter morning!  The Easter bunny was up early hiding eggs outside the house, and leaving baskets for the girls!  Silly bunny put the wrong jammies in the girls baskets- mixed them up- OOPS!!  They were thrilled with their new jammies (thanks nana and papa t!!), kitty shirts, a new toy for each of them and some candy.  They immediately went outside in jammies to get those eggs too!  Quite a sight!

Here they are before searching for eggs!

Evie decided when the big girls started helping her that they could just do all the work, and she'd watch :)
And after the hunt, here they are with their stash!  Don't you just love Evie's grin?  She's saying 'cheese' since she sees the camera- what a ham!

Here are a few more of the girls that I took during Spring Break.  We didn't do much but clean, play, and hang out.  It was a nice week together!

Don't they look onery here?

And this time they all said 'cheese'!  Gotta love those cheesy smiles!

And of course Evie had to have just one more all by herself!  Little stinker is getting quite the personality!

Hope you all had a great Easter!

Talk to you soon!
